So you think its easier to get a Publishing House to do all the work for you?

Just ask yourself a couple of questions...

Would you like to give away a hefty percentage of your royalties to publishers, editors, printers, shippers and distributors?

Because you're going to have to! These days, when the world of online publishing has opened doors for aspiring authors to have access to readers all over the world, with the click of a button, do you really need to go that route?

Will your publisher guarantee success?

You may print a thousand or twenty thousand books and if they don’t sell – well, that’s just too bad! You’re stuck with them. The publisher’s safe because they’ve taken an up front payment from you to cover their costs. Get real! Its only the best-selling author who gets those big ‘advances’ you’ve heard of.

Let's take a look at a typical publishing scenario…

Step#1 You’ve written your blockbuster novel or technical tome and hopefully edited it as well, so lets start off with the assumption that your book is terrific.

Step#2 You may now hire an agent (and good agents don’t come cheap) who makes submissions to a number of publishing houses and now you wait for a response and hopefully not a rejection slip.

Step#3 When and if a publisher accepts your premise, you now have to strike a deal. Deals are certainly not ‘standard’ and the less known you are as an author, the worse of a deal you can expect.

Step#4 Part of the deal is in attempting to limit the rights of the publisher to your material and they will try and try again to squeeze you for every last drop.

Step#5 Once your manuscript is accepted, the publisher would probably insist on copy-editing the text and disagreements between editors and the author are not uncommon.

Step#6 Since most writers know little or nothing of layout and artwork formatting, the publisher’s in house designers will now provide sets of specifications for layout, typefaces, and the like. If images are involved, the design process can get even more complicated with things like color corrections, formats and on and on and on…

Step#7 Cover design can be an important part of selling a book and printing a well-designed cover is an art not to be taken too lightly.

Step#8 The publisher also handles the printing process with its innumerable steps of prepress, film or direct-to-plate technology, proofing and color-proofing, both for the inside copy as well as the cover, and finally cutting, binding and packaging.

Step#9 A good publisher will also help with publicity, promotion advertising and distribution to retailers, not to mention storage, handling and shipping.

Step#10 And finally, managing & monitoring sales – keeping those bookshelves stocked, making sure the retailers are displaying your books at the front of the store and not on the top back shelf.

For all these services, the publisher expects to be more than adequately compensated (after all, they are running a business). Since book publishers must also sink substantial effort and funds into each title they publish, they have developed complex ways to maximize their gains, which naturally take rewards away from the author.

So if your question is:

How do I Publish My Book?

We in turn would ask our own 64 Million Dollar Question…

Do you really want to go through all that just to give away not just the piece, but the entire pie?

For a typical publishing house, you can expect about10% of the retail list price on the first 5000 copies sold, 12.5% on the next 5000 and 15% on all copies sold thereafter!

Not only that, payments from publishers are very likely to be delayed, provoking and prolonging your aggravation. Payments that go astray or are late in arriving, are not uncommon in modern publishing circles.

Now you may well ask yourself…

Why would people buy an e-Book?

The answer is simple… Price and Instant Gratification!

People buy e-books for the thrill of receiving instant delivery! When you go shopping for that new pair of shoes or that fancy camera, you want to see, touch and feel it – Right Now! And when people cast around for information, especially on the internet, they want it RIGHT AWAY as well.

eBooks are typically priced much more economically than print – and their convenience of purchase makes them a very attractive alternative, especially for the ‘how-to’ book, technical manual or even that children’s book you’ve been dying to publish.

So here’s what we have to say if you were to ask…

“How to Publish My Book”

We can show you how to Publish Your Own eBook for a lot less expense and a lot more profit and make it accessible to readers all over the world!

We are the most economical “publishing company” you will find anywhere and we believe that the cost of publishing a book should not be out of reach for anyone on this planet.

We believe that the rewards of writing a book should go to the author and not to the publisher and that once the author has bought and paid for any services required to publish and promote a book, they and not the publisher, should be entitled to the lion’s share of the profit.

We believe that every author – whether a beginner, an amateur or an ‘unknown’, should be able to start on an equal footing with established authors and have the opportunity to have their writing made accessible to readers all over the world.

To this purpose we offer services at unbelievably affordable rates, in convenient packages that can be customized to fit your requirements...

as well as your pocketbook!

Apart from author-friendly pricing, we can also offer advice and point you in the right direction to automate your sales for low-low prices (and sometimes for FREE!).
